Essex Premiere Comedy Club Sells Out with Top TV Line - Up.

Chelmsford Comedy fans packed into The Lion Houseat the Lion Inn last night for another sold out show. A lot of guests arrived early to take advantage of the 1st class restaurant, before walking across the court yard to join us in the lion House. The shows have been going from strength to strength this year, selling out weeks in advance. With our 4 top professional comedians ' As seen on TV' on the bill, fans were eager to take their reserved candle lit tables early.

The show commenced at 9pm after a high energy build-up of sound and light.
As soon as our MC Comedian Karen Bayley took to the stage ,the audience welcomed her in fine voice...a perfect start for what was to become. Karen warmed the audience perfectly before welcoming our opening Comedian Alistair Barrie.
Alistair is a core member of The Cutting Edge team at London's Comedy Store and has made numerous radio and television appearances around the world.
From the atmosphere in the room , you could tell Alistair had done his job delivering a first class set. Karen then took to stage briefly before welcoming Neil McFarlane to stage for a short set. Neil had previously reached the Scottish regional final of the BBC New Comedy Awards, and treated the audience to some fine stand -up, before finishing his set with a very funny routine with tails from his previous job in the complaints department of the 'BBC'!! After a short interval the 200 strong audience took their seats for part two. Karen settled the audience back down before our other top TV Comedian Ben Norris took the stage. Ben is a familiar face from the TV,  having appeared on nearly all main comedy panel shows including "Never Mind The Buzzcocks", "They Think It's All Over" and "Mock The Week". Ben has an incredibly relaxed stage persona with an innate ability to improvise as well as delivering sharply crafted material, which was lapped up by the guests. As the clock struck 11.10 is was unfortunately time to close the show , with Karen taking back  the stage to thank the brilliant comedians and audience alike.
After the show guests were commented on what a great night it was. We look forward to seeing you all soon again.
