Comedian to Befriend Extremists & Racists
Comedian Jamali Maddix - the Chortle 2014 Student Comedy Award Winner is going to be befriending racists for a brand new TV show.
Rising comedian Maddix is no stranger to TV as he has recently appeared on The John Bishop Show and last month starred in a new series of Channel 4 Comedy Blaps. At this time he is currently performing his debut Edinburgh Fringe show ‘Chickens Come Home to Roost’.
Stand – Up comedian Jamali will be fronting six hour long shows for a new Sky channel ‘Viceland’ which is due to launch next month.
The programmes titled ‘ In Hate For Beginners’ will see Maddix travel around America & Europe to investigate extremists . This we are told will all be done through ’ a comedy lense’
Creative Director of the show Alex Millar told us 'We’re launching with a slate that we think fulfils our goal: to make Viceland the most original and important TV channel for young people in the country.'
