Comedian Dave Johns Award Nominations

One of the long standing The Comedy Club comedians Dave Johns has been nominated for two British film awards.

This is for his lead role in I’Daniel Blake as ‘Daniel ‘ .  In the film Daniel Blake ,59, had worked most of his life as a joiner based in the North East of England. Blake seeks help from the state for the first time following an illness in this moving film.

Dave Johns the comedian has made the shortlist for the role of best actor and for most promising newcomer. For the first award comedian Johns is up against well-honed screen stars

The film directed by Ken Loach has already won the Palm d’Or at Cannes and was released on 21st October in Cinema’s.
