2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festival

The 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festival is now just under 6 weeks away. The Fringe festival is the largest festival of arts in the world and is held every August for 3 weeks in Edinburgh.

This year it runs from 5th – 29th August. Each and every year thousands of performers take to hundreds of stages across Edinburgh, performing in many weird and wonderful shows! In 2015 there was over 50,459 performances, securing it as the world’s largest ever arts festival in the world.

Big names from the entertainment world and unknown up and coming artists & comedians alike look the build their careers. The festival caters for creative fans in the art of Theatre, spoken word, circus, cabaret, music, and of course stand –up comedy. Thousands of comedians are at this time crafting their shows, ready for what they hope will be the launch pad for their careers.

Last year the fosters best comedy show award went to Sam Simmons with his show ‘ Spaghetti for Breakfast’ Other nominee’s included comedians James Acaster, Joseph Morpurgo, Nish Kumar, Sarah Kendall, Seymour Mace & Trygve Wakenshaw.
