WHAT BSAVA - BRITISH SMALL ANIMAL VETERINARY ASSOCIATION ASKED FOR

We have had comedians previously at our events, this year we would like to go down The Comedy Club route. The theme this year will be VetFest. The event will be held in a seated hall of approx. 500-700”. Due to the age range etc. too much bad language is frowned upon

WHAT THE COMEDY CLUB DID

After various conversations with the client about previous events, Comedians, location & timings we came up with a selection of Comedians that were both available and suitable according to the clients brief

• Once 5 Comics were agreed upon we then perfected the timings & running order of the show so that each artist complimented the other & the momentum through the show was built
• The event was also branded as The Comedy Club & we advised all the way through the process on the set-up and technical side of the show to maximise the audiences enjoyment
• On the night of the show we liaised with the comics all the way through to ensure smooth running of the show. It was a tight 45 minute performance that stood out in between a lot of other entertainment at the event

Having organised our own Comedy Club for many years, handing over the reins to Ian Franklin from The Comedy Club was the best move ever. Having sourced quotes from a few companies the customer service I received from Ian was exemplary. It was terrific to speak to a person who was as enthusiastic about my event as I was. Ian could not have been more helpful if he tried, nothing was too much trouble. To have the sourcing of acts and logistics taken off my hands was just great. The night went down a storm, the crowd loved the new format and the acts were terrific. We are using The Comedy Club again this year and hope to do so for many years to come.
