SAM GORE
Since entering the murky waters of stand-up comedy in Summer 2007, Sam Gore's star has been on a constant and meteoric rise. In the brief time he's been performing he's won four New Act of the Year titles and already begun progressing to paid work and longer sets; his disdain for the world and complete ineptitude with regard to living in it have made him a firm favourite with audiences in the North. Nobody's safe from the acerbic verbal barrage he produces but it's the sheer quality of writing that constantly wins his audiences over to the dark side.
Sam's unique combination of cleverly crafted, punchy gags and vitriolic bile-fuelled rants has made him a multi-award winning comedian and a genuinely hot prospect in the future of standup.

Press Quotes:
''In his pinstripe waistcoat, Sam Gore looks more like a snooker referee than a stand-up, but it certainly helps the aloof demeanour that defines his high-status act. He's a young Marcus Brigstocke, aloof and uncompromising in his distain for all that displeases him, letting rip with a savage battery of acrid bile. The insults are extravagant, but it's the sheer relentlessness of the attacks that raise the laughs. While his attitude is unrelentingly intolerant, the well-crafted punchlines are so strong that his lack of empathy is no obstacle. Such strong writing means he has the makings of a class act indeed.'' - Steve Bennett, Chortle.co.uk
''A sharp and fast-paced young stand-up from Leeds who is clearly not afraid to take risks... the material he delivered was clever and acerbic. I was not the only audience member who would have liked to have seen more from this brave and edgy performer.'' - The Worksop Guardian
''Our first success in the fledgling Yorkshire comedy scene... he's good, so we've adopted him - okay? Keep an eye out for Sam, flying the flag for Yorkshire.'' - The Leeds Guide
