NORMAN LOVETT
Norman Lovett was Born in Windsor, Berkshire. Norman was well into his thirties before he decided to become a stand-up comedian.
He played the original Comedy Store many times and even supported the Clash.
Television and radio followed a few years later, PLaying the role of ''Holly'', the ships' computer in the BBC hit sitcom Red Dwarf.
Norman played Holly throughout the shows' 1st & 2nd series, before returning for series 7 & 8.
After Red Dwarf, Norman had his own BBC2 sitcom called ''I, Lovett'', in which he played an eccentric inventor (also called Norman) and appeared in Bill Bailey's sketch show, ''Is It Bill Bailey?''.
He also appeared as Dr. Lovett in the short-lived sitcom ''Asylum'' which saw him work alongside comedians such as Simon Pegg, Jessica Stevenson & Julian Barratt.
Norman Lovett was well into his thirties before he decided to be a stand-up comedian. TV and radio exposure soon followed, although he is best known for his role as 'Holly' on cult sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf. He was one of the small group of comics who played the original Comedy Store, and as well as being a regular feature at many of the countries top venues has also appeared in various 'unusual' places, including supporting The Clash in the late 1970's, and supporting S Club 7 in more recent times.He considers himself to be a stand-up comedian who can act a bit, and is yet to appear in a pantomime.
