MATT HOLT
Matt Holt made his first big splash in the highly acclaimed hit show UberArmy ('endlessly inventive and brilliantly funny' '''''''' Scotsman) in 2001. Since then he has toured extensively with Fuse Productions in the sublime physical comedy Somehow I Feel Dirty ('''''''''' Metro), and for 18 months was resident MC and programmer at On the Funny Side in Blackfriars (where he attracted such luminaries as Sean Lock, Danny Bhoy, Chris Addison & Reg D Hunter). Other MC credits include a residency at the last season of Comedy ᄚ JoJo's, it's little sister OhOh in Edinburgh '04, and the infamous Hoxton Bark. Last year he co-wrote and starred in Nudge at the Pod Deco with long-term double act partner James Lamont & the legendary Charlie Chuck.
A mercurial and fearless compere with the uncanny ability to place audience and atmosphere above the need to churn through old material. Matt once helped men everywhere by shamelessly admitting that ET can still make him cry (100 Greatest Tearjerkers, Channel 4), and has recently been spotted performing warm up duties on Dead Ringers for the BBC. He has just returned from a very successful month compering 22 nights of The Electric Cabaret at Edinburgh.
