JON RICHARDSON
Jon Richardson began stand-up in May 2003, and within his first year reached the finals of the J20-sponsored Last Laugh competition.
Within just a year and a half he had realised his dream and was working nation-wide as a full-time comic. Consistently high levels of performance, a willingness to work whenever and wherever the opportunity arose and a tireless desire to generate new material have been the secrets of Jon's success. He now works regularly at Brighton Komedia, Just The Tonic Nottingham, The Glee Club and Bristol's Comedy Box and Jesters. He has performed at festivals in Leeds, Guildford and Bristol and has headlined university gigs for Off The Kerb and Avalon. Abroad he has compered in the French Alps, headlined in Barcelona and performed a one-man show in Greece.
He established himself on the circuit, and in 2006 supported Alan Carr on his 60-date tour.
His debut Edinburgh show, Spatula Pad, was nominated for the if.comedy award for best newcomer at the 2007 Fringe; and in 2008 he won the Chortle Award for best breakthrough act.
He also co-hosts the Sunday morning show on BBC 6 Music with Russell Howard.
