JOHN OLIVER
John Oliver's acute social awareness is juxtaposed with a boyish sense of mischief, to prove it is possible to be thought provoking and hilarious in equal measure. John has performed three sell-out seasons at the Edinburgh Festival and toured the UK in the Paramount, Edinburgh and Beyond Comedy Tour. He wrote and starred in the groundbreaking The Department (Radio 4), GASH (Channel 4) and The State We're In (BBC3).
Together with Andy Zaltzman and Chris Addison, John has created the hit radio series The Department BBC (Radio 4).
familiar face on the live circuit, John's politicised approach to stand-up has garnered much press attention and his critically acclaimed solo shows at The Edinburgh Fringe have reinforced the opinion that he is going to be a major comic force for the future. As an actor, John's credits include Green Wing (Channel 4) Chambers (BBC1), the Ardal O'Hanlon sitcom My Hero (BBC1) and People Like Us (BBC1).
