JACK COWLEY
FORMERLY know as Jack Russell, the Cowley lad had clearly had enough of the ''barking mad'' dog puns, knowing full well that his own material was worth more than that.
Born in Wales to Irish parents who raised him Surrey, such a diverse mix of breeding gives him plenty of material to play with.
Laid back to the point of horizontal and boasting a stream-of-consciousness second-to-none, his set is a wonderful mix of the physical and the cerebral as well as the observational and surreal and the profane and the profound.
His storytelling brilliance, always with a twist, has made him a firm favourite with radio and he has appeared regularly on BBC Radio 5 Live and XFM as well as the 11 O'Clock Show on Channel 4.
