GUS DUNICAN

GusWas uprooted from the family's ancestral seat in South London and, at the age of four, moved to Eastbourne where all the children had seemingly been ritualistically exterminated (kinda like Logan's Run but backwards!). Was trained in comedy by my father's vast collection of videos from a young age. he taught me all the imporatnt lessons - most especially that the Jewish are (on a molecular level) funnier than other humans and that this must be accepted if I am ever to make progress. Started performing the second I had to come into contact with other humans but onlu thought to put a mic in front of it at the age of 19...and so it began.

Gus tried and failed for three years to go to drama school but was forced to abandon hope of ever attending any of the great acting academies

(apparently he already had a personality). A new tactic was needed. So, having spent much of his adolescence trying to make women laugh, Gus finally set his sights on the other 50% of the market.

It's been arduous apprenticeship in the world of stand up for Gus. He's still one of the younger comics on the circuit but already is a veteran of

the bed wetting, soul destroying, horror that is this fickle business we call comedy. Somehow he has survived with his odd mixture of self

effacing punch-lines, idealism, surrealism, raw enthusiasm, some naughty stuff and cut glass vowels; he continues in his quest to give audiences

across the country a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Gus's comedy comes from a longing for the time when life was simpler, when each new day was a great adventure and saving the galaxy could be readily achieved before tea time...with a dash of hatred for anyone who goes out of their way to spoil it. Because all he really wants to do is explain to people what a terribly exciting place the universe still is, if they just know where to look.
