DAN WILLIS
One of the fastest-rising and hardest-working acts on the circuit, Dan Willis is a quick-thinking, fast-talking stand-up comedian who can be seen on stage at many of the country's top stand-up venues and festivals. Having quickly built a reputation as a top compere who can control a room and keep a crowd laughing throughout the night, he is equally at home performing extended sets. Dan is a regular MC at many of the circuit's top venues and is one of the most reliable comperes around.
His material can switch from family to adult material depending on the audience - a skill which he used to great effect during his 6-month stint as a warm-up man on 'Open House with Gloria Hunniford', performing daily to elderly ladies without resorting to any swearing or naughty sex talk.
Dan has made numerous appearances on TV, both in Britain and overseas: in the UK he has appeared or been involved in 'Kings of Comedy', 'Pirate TV', 'Am I Good In Bed?', 'Sex On The Job', 'Open House with Gloria Hunniford', 'Edinburgh or Bust' and has presented several features on CNN. Overseas, he has appeared on Australia's 'Champagne Comedy'.
Having performed for 2 consecutive years at the Melbourne Comedy Festival in a double-header show with his good friend Nik Coppin, Dan is taking his first solo offering 'Radiohead' to Australia for a month in April 2006, prior to his solo Edinburgh Fringe debut in August of the same year. The show is a journey into feel-good music, classic tunes anchoring some of the more bizarre and entertaining incidents from Dan's life so far.
