CHRIS ADDISON

Born and brought up in Worsley, Greater Manchester, Chris Addison attended the Manchester Grammar School. He then went on to the University of Birmingham from where he graduated in 2004. He has since been involved with the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival 11 times, performing stand-up comedy and in 2004 he was nominated for the prestigious Perrier Award for comedy for his show, ''Civilisation.'' He recently made the leap into acting; writing and starring in a radio comedy called ''The Department'' along with close friends and fellow comedians, Andy Zaltzman and John Oliver and as the naive Cambridge-graduate Oliver Reeder in Armando Iannucci's ''The Thick Of It.'' He writes a fortnightly money column for The Guardian and plans to continue writing and performing comedy in radio, television and theatre.
