ANDREW LAWRENCE

Winner of BBC New Comedy Competition 2004

Andrew's dark thoughts, gruff voice and soaring songs make him an immediately engaging act. His demonic, teen-with-a-guitar persona makes you think he would probably be killing for fun if he weren't performing comedy. It also whisked him to second place in the Final of 'So You Think You're Funny?' in August 2003 and first place in the BBC New Comedy Competition 2004.

Andrew recent TV appearances include BBC's '28 Acts in 28 Minutes' and 'World Stands Up' for Paramount.

In November and December 2003, he previewed his first full-length solo show at The Canal Cafe Theatre. Now based in London, he is gigging regularly all over the UK and being invited back to every club.

His debut at the Edinburgh Fringe was in 2001, when he wrote, directed and appeared in the sketch show 'Skin Pickings'. He also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2002 as one half of double act 'Ministers of Satan'
