HANNAH GADSBY
Australian comedian Hannah Gadsby has been described by The Skinny “deadpan perfection". Hannah Gadsby Goes Domestic (ABC TV), 7 Days (TV-3 NZ), Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala (Network Ten), Sydney Comedy Festival Gala (Comedy Channel)
It is Hannah Gadsby’s unique, laconic humour that clearly distinguishes her from bread. Her droll delivery, punctuated by delightful wordplay and heart-breakingly funny, self-deprecating observations about her own life and family has delighted audiences all over the world. Hannah began her stand-up career in 2006 when she was “discovered” at the Hobart Comedy Festival. Later that year she went on to win the national final of Raw Comedy. Hannah followed this up with a very impressive second place in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival’s So You Think You’re Funny? contest before embarking on her first solo show, Hannah Gadsby is Wrong and Broken, which won the prize for Best Newcomer at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Hannah has been a guest on ABC TV’s Spicks and Specks and New Zealand TV 3’s 7 Days and in 2011 you can see her weekly on ABC TV’s Adam Hills In Gordon Street Tonight.
