ALUN COCHRANE

Alun trained at the Welsh College Of Music and Drama between 1995 and 1998, graduating with a degree in Theatre Studies (Acting).

January 1999 saw Alun begin touring with Barrie Rutter's Northern Broadsides in a very successful production of Twelfth Night. After the twenty week tour for Broadsides he went to the Edinburgh Festival in two darkly comic plays

Fat Hamlet (The Pleasance) and The Curse of Iain Banks (The Gilded Balloon). Both shows were highly acclaimed sell-out productions.

Following Edinburgh he played a small role in Granada Television's Always and Everyone. Since late 1999 he has concentrated on live stand-up comedy.

LIVE PERFORMANCES

As a headline act or compere, Alun uses his flair for language to blend friendly story telling, sharp one liners and off the cuff wit. He has a cheeky smile to sweeten even the most revolting tales, he seamlessly mixes improvisation with sharply honed material and will occasionally throw in a brilliantly accurate impersonation.

Topical, personal and vulnerable, whilst outspoken, rude and comical. From computer jargon and the mundanity of life, to cringe-worthy confessions of his own folly, Alun brings charm and humour to all he sees around him.
